NOVEMBER RUGBY: Women take Fall Series centre
Stage 6th November 2009
The McGill Rugby Women played John Abbott's Women's team on a
cool last Wednesday evening. It was terrific Fall series Rugby.

Abbott featured Ste-Anne's star player and Swedish
bombshell Tanja Andersson, and she should benefit immensely from the strong
opposition John Abbott faced. Kim Carriere watched the game from
the sidelines, but vowed to come to the Awards banquet despite being banned
by Juniors Coach Degraff.

On the McGill side Mongeau and Trisch Walsh were in
evidence. A good sized crowd bundled up to watch the game, and in the "We
knew we had it in them department," Taryn and Katie Gauley showed off their
table top dancing skills.

There was other action on Halloween night, and most of it centered around
23 St-Pierre. Holly showed up as a chicken, while her cousins Sawyer and
Piper were a lion and an orangutan respectively. All three tied with Payne
for top prize and each won tons of extra candy.

There was a wicked pumpkin competition which despite
the best efforts of Lavery and Stone was won by Cedric.

\
A moderately sized group went downtown to party at OO on Mountain Street.
McAffrey and Bobby were authentically dressed as bus boys. Anita had by far
and above the best costume. You couldn't see her even when you looked up
close. (She's the wild clown). The Wanderers won the award for best
costume, despite having no less than three people dressed as priests, one
as a nun and several as a school girl or two. A good time was had by all.

The Fall series continues next week with a game at McEwen field, probably
against McGill. It could be a classic McGill vs Macdonald game, so don't
put your cleats away just yet. There should be game time for many and any
players. Watch this space and come out to poker. Last poker game was won by
Stone.
